Have you tried a family shelter? Emergency housing should be available.

If you go to your local WIC office, they can direct you where to go for services.

@laniejay, we have no emergency family shelters. We’d all be separated. There’s no emergency housing either, I’ve tried for weeks to get in touch with anyone. Community action partnership and beyond. No luck. I’m currently trying to go to a motel already but my family can’t afford to help at all.

@harleygqplus2, they’d separate you from your kids?

A church? Fire station? Police station and ask for help? They can't just leave you in the street pregnant with 2 small children. I'm very sorry you're stuck in this situation😞

Sometimes you have to do, what you have to do. If having a roof means your husband being somewhere else, take that sacrifice.

@veemndz, thank you. In order to use a church you have to call certain times throughout the week which I have indeed done and I’ve been turned away due to not having an address. I was also threaten by a church worker who stated she ought have called CPS on me for being in the situation in the first place.

Well, if there is a place for you and the kids. Like what was previously stated, though, sometimes sacrifices would have to be made. Could you and the kids go there and your husband be with his parents???

@alice-quinnsmommy I agree you have to think about the kids first. . staying in that situation just to stay with your husband no offense is kind of selfish ( I do understand though)

I feel as if now I’m being bashed or called selfish. It may seem that way. However due to everything I just don’t have the mental capacity to deal with my girls amongst everything right now. It’s just recommended that he stay close by.

@harleygqplus2 how bad do the in laws hate you? Is it just like they tolerate you or don't deal with you at all? Like could you suck it up for a couple and they help you or it's completely no option because they won't allow it?

@jordanrwilliams25, like when they found out I was pregnant they all wished death on me and the unborn and told me I didn’t deserve my other two because they feel as if I’m not worthy. Not to mention they’ve attempted food stamp fraud and have stolen and destroyed, if not taken back anything that has been for our unborn child that was sent to our old address. They don’t like me because I just showed him a better life to live. It’s just unnatural to them.

@jordanrwilliams25, we’re literally all we have. Everyone thinks it’s just so easy to spilt up and it’s not. The one place I felt I could talk to someone everyone’s just made me feel like I’m horrible for keeping us together.

How far is your family would they keep the kids a couple of days?

I don't think anyone is trying to bash you. It sounds like you're in a really sad and crappy situation. I know being separated from your husband would be hard but in the long run it might be your best bet. If CPS was to find out you're living in your car with them, you could probably get in trouble. 😕

@harleygqplus2 I don't think it's so much horrible for trying to stay together. I think it's more of a safety issue for the kids . A 4 yes old and 8 month old shouldn't be sleeping in a car (I do get things happen) but that's do dangerous and if someone sees you like that police and CPS could be knocking on your window then it would be worst for you because of the children especially depending on the type of area you are in .. I get it but to myself as well it's just not right for those babies especially with no real plan in place for the next day or more and I can only imagine it's harder to get yourselves together in that situation with two small children holding your hand

I would contact your local dhs office.. they should be able to help you find housing for you and your family.

I am really sorry you are in such a bad situation. I wish I could help you. I was going to suggest what the other ladies suggested. I saw you said your mom was far away. Can she somehow come and get you all and stay with her til you get back on your feet?

@theycallmemommy, unfortunately no. My mom has a roommate. They live in a 2 bedroom in an high rise

@bcsweetie, that’s not an option. My moms struggling just as bad as me and my dads been dead for years. I’d love to leave and move with my mom but I don’t have a dime to my name.

Apply for emergency cash assistance. If you do it in person you’ll be accepted like immediately. Especially having kids and being pregnant they WILL have something. I don’t know if it’s called the same thing but it’s called DES where I am. They can also help with housing.
