Hey mamas! Which type of doctor do you guys prefer for your little ones? A Family Doctor or a Pediatrician? I’m having a hard time choosing a new doctor for my kids!
@momof3cuties, I really like that idea! Switching once they’re out of that infant/beginning toddler stage.
@squishymommy1, @girlmom., @rndmshtt, @fakoffyeh, Thanks for your opinions ladies. I’m so torn because I love the idea of all of us seeing the same doctor however, to @mommytok, point I want to be sure they are an expert on pediatric care. Especially with having an infant. But because I have kaiser HMO Im kind of limited. There’s only 2 Kaiser locations within 10 miles and they have about 25 peds that take HMO combined. I’m basically going off of reviews here. The one Ped I found that “looked” nice but didn’t really have any reviews. The Family doctor I found had stunning reviews! I’m thinking of going with the peds, and if I don’t really like her I’ll switch to the family doctor.
We do pediatrician till 2 in age then go to the family Dr. Which a family Dr is good because when one gets sick we all get sick. One Dr for all of us and not having to go to diffenert places
Pediatrician 100%. My personal opinion is a family doctor cannot be an expert and stay up to date on most current recommendations for infant care, child growth and development, childhood diseases and illnesses, teenage growth and development, adult medicine, maternity care, c sections, vaginal deliveries, etc. It’s like they’re a jack of all trades, but they’re not extraordinarily good with any of them. Too much ground to cover.
I chose a pediatrician that was affiliated with the hospital in delievering at. Although it’s about an hour drive 😅 It gives me a peace of mind knowing if i get rushed to the hospital they can contact my pediatrician and they will be there if my baby ever decides to come early.
Family. Hes my kids doctor and was my OB. Vee was the last baby he delivered before retiring ❤
We go to a family Dr. I prefer someone who sees all of us.
Dear Moms,
Preggie mom @njf1216 sadly posted today that her daughter Reagan Brinkley was born early at 35 weeks sleeping, when doctors discovered that she no longer had a heartbeat. Let's send her our love and heartfelt wishes, and to the other moms who have also had angel babies. If you would like to, please write a message to her on this post or send her a private message.
We are deeply saddened by her loss and are are keeping her in our hearts at this difficult time.
Warmest wishes,
Preggie...
I just absolutely love some women on here! Some woman wants to write on another women's post telling her she shouldn't be having sex at all in the beginning of pregnancy. I didn't know she was her doctor. Then she wants to tell me that the first trimester is only 1-9 weeks pregnant. And she lost her baby at 4 weeks pregnant due to sex. Like sweetie that's your period starting!
Scarlett
As a mother you know when your child is poorly, and it's more than just god damn viral infection. But no f*** ing doctor would listen.

Sometimes you know your body better than everyone else. Not every woman will produce high levels of hcg throughout pregnancy some it can take weeks some it can take months don’t trust a blood test don’t trust a urine test trust your heart and when you know it’s times it’s time this doctor was not a gynecologist so he did not give me a quantitative blood test to actually see what my hcg level is at I hope this helps some of you ladies who just feel like giving up and stop testing because of what ...
My doctor said he would induce my labor at 38 weeks, if my baby girl still had growth issues and if the percentile dropped to 10 or less. Last thursday, it was 10 percentile, and he said if she didn't come on her own by 38 weeks, he would induce labor at that time. I'm 36 weeks 1 day today, he said my cervix was super thin, and 1cm dilated. Is there a possibility this can change... that my doctor will let her just come on her own? I don't want to be induced, i would much rather her come on her ...
@pinnkmom we have to drive 45mins just to see a pediatrician and have a family Dr in our town. The same with a dental
