Short Luteal Phase? I've just started temping because I believe that the reason I haven't had a BFP yet, after 20 months, is because I believe I may have a Luteal Phase Defect.
Things I never thought I'd say... Until I became a mom:
Yesterday I went out with my boyfriend went to watch a movie, me and him don't live together yet. but point is yesterday when he was dropping me off his like sleep over at my house witch the mom and dad lives. I said no, his response was why is everyone deciding or making choices for you and their going to do the same with the baby, when I know that's not true. what he thinks is that my mom tells me not to sleep over. So he left all mad. and I felt in my heart that he went on and cheated on me and did something else with an other girl.... and it's 10:51 am now and he hasn't texted me at all. and after he dropped me off I texted him saying what I felt and nothing. I don't know if I'm over reacting or what or what should i do. do i wait until he text me?

Don’t. That’s a terrible idea. Let baby come when they’re ready.
Leah·
That's a horrible idea. Be patient and let baby come on their own. You're setting your self up for possible infection, c section, or it could even harm your baby. Only a doctor should break your water.
Maria·
Awful idea. You’d be leaving yourself and baby open to infection along with a whole host of other problems potentially.

I've never heard of this! Do people really try this?! I'm glad your taking our advice and not doing it!
Mimi·
Are you being serious? Breaking your own water would never ever ever be considered safe. When a dr breaks your water it’s after making sure your baby is safe to come out as well as your in active labor with your cervix dilated. Your waters are broken with sterile tools as doing it any other way can pass infection and cause your baby to be still born.

@mimixtmn, that’s what I said I was like how is that even possible 🤔

You can ask your OB if she/he can scrape your cervix. Mine did at 38 and a half weeks, my water broke a day and a half later. But I agree don’t do it yourself. Stay busy, have sex and go on long walks. Good luck!
J·
So scary that people do attempt to do this on their own 💔 glad you're not trying this!

No, I feel your pain but just no. Walk, get a yoga ball and bounce. You just have to stay active. Baby will come when they are ready.
