Okay mamas, I need help! I’ve been letting my daughter run around naked in efforts to try and potty train her because she won’t pee on the floor or anything. Well she will bring me a diaper and tell me “poop poop” and make me put a diaper on her. She refuses to go on her little potty or ours with the little seat on it. She screams bloody murder and cries if I try and sit her on the toilet. I don’t want to traumatize her or anything by making her sit on it because she acts terrified, so I just cave and put the diaper on her to let her do her business. Any advice? (I have tried bribing with chocolates and stickers)

If she's not ready yet then don't try and force it. I tried my son around the same age and he just wasn't ready, now he will happily go on the potty (still wears a nappy to nursery though) and yesterday went on the big toilet for the first time. She will get there eventually. Try again in a few months x

Wish I had some advice...unfortunately neither of my girls are potty trained. They hate it and cry so I just stopped trying because I dont want to force them.

My girl did this too. I don’t think they are ready. I’d try again in a month or so and see how it goes!

I introduced potty at 18 mo, but my daughter wasn't fully potty trained for over a year later. She didn't even show interest in using the small potty until right around 2. But we were proud of those big girl panties by the third birthday!!!

And the stickers did work for me by the time she was ready!! 😋 She'll get there.
