Trust me your baby will be here soon, all the symptoms that you are feeling is your body preparing for labor. One day you might not feel like your progressing but you csn easily go into labor the next day without expecting it this is how are babys work

@jenny955, I was only 1.5 cm dilated when they induced me and the contractions I did have when I would go get checked I never felt at all which I thought was odd especially because they were 7 minutes apart

@jenny955, I could barely move let alone handle my son staying in any longer if I hadn’t asked to be induced my body probably would’ve shut down on me in all honesty plus I had an unbearable hernia I was dealing with

Usually not until after your due date. My last appointment my dr was surprised there wasn’t anything happening, and said we would talk after my due date on the next plan.

@jenny955, it can happen! My friend went to her ob on Monday and wasn’t dilated and her baby came Wednesday night. They most likely won’t try to induce you until you’re about 40 weeks if it’s nothing medically wrong. Keep trying!

Generally you won't schedule your induction but your doctor will tell you that you will be induced on a certain day. Every doctor and office is different. For some reason my doctor like to induce the day before due date. But alot of doctors prefer to wait until 41-42 weeks. I don't think I've known anyone to be allowed to go past 42 weeks though.
