My MIL is driving me nuts. She’s currently mad at me because she asked me if I would come to her house for Christmas on the 24th, mind you she also lives 45 out of town, and it’ll be winter.
I said “I’m sorry but with Stew (my husband) working a night shift, I am not comfortable driving almost an hour out of town with my kids, 8 months pregnant in the middle of winter, the night before Christmas by myself, in the dark.”
And now she’s complaining about me to everyone saying I don’t make time for her. 😂 also mind you, she hasn’t seen the kids since... maybe once in July and then I don’t even know when before that but she’s in town everyday and refuses to stop by to visit, let alone even ask about the kids... 🤷♀️😂

@day1401 when me and hubby was dating his step mother wanted him to married her daughter I never been rude to her always respectful and I think she's jealous of me cause hubby picked me than her daughter whose divorce have a bf
@carol.braganca.2014, we’ve definitely distanced ourselves a lot more, especially after our wedding. She tried to make my husband feel bad for “letting” me tell them off because her husband called my 7 yr old a bitch for not wanting to sleep over at their house.

@day1401, then no worries. They won’t take you up on it, but ball is in their court and you don’t look like you’re keeping them from the kids. Sounds like you’re better not seeing them anyways.

They are what I call fb grandparents, they want us to go there so they can post about how they love that their family comes to them to celebrate and how they decorated their house “just for us”.
Buuuuuut then grandpa withholds gifts and stuff because his “Father’s Day present wasn’t good enough this year”... they just aren’t nice people.

@mamachey, right? Even if my husband wasn’t working, we wouldn’t go. They are such toxic people, and the second I stopped putting all the effort in to have them see the kids, they basically dropped off the face of the earth. Haven’t came to any of the kids things or birthday is at least 3 years.
But yes, let me drive out of my way to you and your husband the night before Christmas.

Went in for my 20 week check up and found out our son had passed away. Nothing was wrong, my pregnancy has been going great. I'm so numb right now. I'll he delivering him later this week. Locking your doors
We are having a discussion on one of my birth boards from my older kids about locking doors and security alarms. There are many of us (me included) who do not lock our doors at home (I actually don't even have a deadbolt on my house and we don't lock it when we leave either), and others who think that's totally weird. So what do you do? Do you lock your doors? Do you think it's weird that people don't?
