does any momma here carry anything for safety or has learned self defense? with all the human trafficking stuff going on…

I carry my knife and pepper spray gel that way it won’t hurt my girls or myself if I have to spray it. I would love to carry my baton but they are illegal to carry in Cali @ least the last time I checked. I bought it while living in Vegas back in 2012. I’m working on my conceal carry license.

I carry a small wood bat everywhere I go. It fits in my diaper bag and stroller basket. We also have one in the car, fits in the bottom of the front seats. Got it at Big 5 for 10$. I also make sure my phone is charged when we go out and I always let my husband know where me and the baby are going and a time estimate. I always say if we’re not back in an hour call the cops and come looking for us. Im mostly joking but this is also serious, its a cold world with disgusting people that are rapists, pedophiles, and human traffickers smh

The baton? Well most people dont know how to use them. You'll have to learn. The batons cant really kill you just hurt you pretty bad if you know what youre doing.

I carry pepper spray. I've read lots of self defense stuff but never practiced it.

Im a self defense instructor. You should definitely take classes! The problem with anything you have to carry or use is: it wont always be on you or can easily be snatched.

I have some keychain batons, love those. I also carry my knife sometimes but would never suggest a blade. They also make some cool tasers that have a lock and can only be used by you (the user)
