I never had a home check but the vistor came out to my house several times. She just stayed in my living room with me talking about how I was feeling each time x

We had the health visitor check at home before baby was born both times. Like others said it’s more of a meet and greet, and advice sort of thing.

They never asked to see anywhere in our house though, stayed in the lounge the whole time xx

Mine just looked in the kitchen, my room and the kids room x

@babykinder2018 my house isn't a mess I just hate nosey people that want to look around it. I don't see the need at all. More so when il only be around 28wks babies room isn't even bein done until well after Xmas as were gona do the whole of upstairs. so atm it's full of crap cos we're having loft sorted for more space etc

@miss_bubbles, they actually said they now meet mums before the baby are born so you get to know each other.

It’s basically just a small meet and greet and then they’ll give you some advice on anything you need to know I.e breastfeeding etc and you can ask them questions if you feel you need to.

As for house check it’s just a quick peek - you show them around. I didn’t show them the whole house as they was more interested in the baby’s room and the room you are in most of the time xx

@babykinder2018 What do they do exactly? Do you have to give them a tour of the full house?

I always thought we would meet the health visitor after the little one born. I met mine for the first time 2 weeks agO

@georgina-ox, yeah they visited us and did a home check too. They also did it to our friends too cos we got worried as we thought we was the only ones that had a house check. It’s a standard procedure now I think
