This 6-month sleep regression is lasting forever! Any tips or tricks? He is waking up to nurse as much as he did as a newborn and he is 7 months old 😩 I have been feeding him his dinner later thinking maybe the full belly would help him sleep longer but no go.

@mswedes, I have refrained from putting him in the bed with us. But, like you, I usually just pop the boob in his mouth when he cries at night. Sometimes he will let me just hand him his binky, other times he will keep crying until I take him out

@aengs2, I guess every dr is different. Mine didn’t say to stop. I’m not sure how that would go, because he typically doesn’t stop crying until I’m holding him and sometimes won’t stop crying until he is latched.

@meganph, my goal was 1 year and I was hoping to go as long as we could after that but I found that because I was nursing him when he’d wake up at night he became reliant on it. Then nursing was the thing that was actually keeping him up. If I could do it over, I wouldn’t have popped the boob into his mouth without trying other things. He ended up in our bed and with my boob in his mouth all night long. It was so hard on me emotionally, physically and mentally. Weening was hard for a few days but after about a week he’s been back to sleeping through the night.

My son's doctor told us not to do middle of the night feedings after 6 months of age. Apparently they don't need it anymore and it's more for comfort. She said don't pick the baby up, just comfort them while they're laying down and give them a stuffed animal of some sort. It worked for us! There are articles about it online too.

@mswedes, 😩 I’m worried how weening him will go if he can’t sleep through night by the time we do it. My plan is around 1 year

@tyrellp, he already eats dinner like 30 minutes before bed. I mix cereal, breast milk and veggies.

My son went through this. It was awful. He didn’t start sleeping through the night completely again until he was 14 months and I stopped nursing him. Hoping your baby doesn’t give you as much trouble as mine did.

Feed him a bed time snack before he goes down for the night? Maybe rice cereal

Yesterday I went out with my boyfriend went to watch a movie, me and him don't live together yet. but point is yesterday when he was dropping me off his like sleep over at my house witch the mom and dad lives. I said no, his response was why is everyone deciding or making choices for you and their going to do the same with the baby, when I know that's not true. what he thinks is that my mom tells me not to sleep over. So he left all mad. and I felt in my heart that he went on and cheated on me and did something else with an other girl.... and it's 10:51 am now and he hasn't texted me at all. and after he dropped me off I texted him saying what I felt and nothing. I don't know if I'm over reacting or what or what should i do. do i wait until he text me?

SLEEP TRAINING So.. we hired a sleep consultant to try to help our baby soothe himself to sleep and we got a sleep training plan for him. It's basically putting him down in his crib, sound machine on, and letting him cry for 3 minutes before going into the room to comfort him. The plan is to repeat this until he falls asleep by himself (which I believe will take us the whole night, if we are lucky) I tried something similar when he was about 2 months old. I started at 7 pm and gave in at 2 am with an angry, exhausted baby. At that point we were both crying! 😭 Some of you told me he was too young to attempt anything. Here I am, 2 months later, still bedsharing and nursing to sleep. I still wonder what is best for him and if he is still too little to make him go through that stress, even if it's 3 minutes at a time. Anyone who's been through this? I'd appreciate your comments.

My boyfriend hasn’t changed ONE diaper ever and my son is 9 months old. He hasn’t fed him in about 5 months, he doesn’t bath him and hes never been left alone with him and he doesn’t even wake up during the night to help with him. He MAYBE washes the bottles at night if it’s a good day and I’m confused as to how bc I’m a woman IM supposed to do all that by myself?? lmfao ya no.
