Meeting in work at 3 with the manager as my senior is trying to say I can’t go to my midwife appointments without it effecting my maternity leave🤣 also putting me down for 14 and a half hour shifts....let’s see how this goes and hopefully I don’t have to make a cheeky phone call to unison🙄

Yeah ring them and tell them what's going on. It's no good by them causing you stress and them not following the law. Hopefully you get things sorted @xggx xx

@xggx have you read up on the gov website on antenatal appointments and how many days are you working cause by law you have to have a day off a week unless you are willing to work xx

@xggx if they can't accommodate you by law they can suspend you with pay. Have a look at direct gov UK it's all on there and print it out for them to see! Xx

I'm leaving at 33 weeks and hopefully will be getting a sitting job rather than the manual on your feet for 12hrs that I do now. Hope they change your job. Xx

I’m not getting more than 4/5 hours sleep so a 14 hr on that little sleep is so difficult😭 the meeting went awful just for me to have my midwife appointments they’ve made me work every weekend and dropped the 14hrs to 12😥 they’ve asked me to take my maternity early as they can’t accommodate me anymore x

@clairehams26, well I had planned to leave at 36 weeks but to be honest people in that place are annoying me and it’s becoming more difficult and demanding so I’m going to see if I can use my sick days and do reduced hours if not I’ll be leaving sooner although I’m not 100% sure when. Also I’m measuring two weeks bigger so would be stupid trying to see it to the end xx

I used to do a 14 hr day shift 7am-9pm when i was between 25/30 weeks and used to work in a nursing home but not allowing you to go to any antenatal appointments is wrong i ended up with more time off than working due to complications with my first x
