Mamas with 2-3 year olds - what are your children's favorite toys and books? Looking to start my…

My son loves to cook! We bought him pans and food last Christmas and he still plays with them everyday.

Plastic tea cup sets, little table and chair set, dollhouse, stroller and baby, play pop up tent, mini trampoline. Kids love these all and we’ve had most of it for years.

Some favorite books are any dr Seuss, goodnight moon, brown bear brown bear, chicka chicka boom boom, Disney story collections, the berenstain bears, the runaway bunny, love you forever, and anything Christmas or Halloween related are always a big hit.

My 2.5 year olds and even my 4 year old love The Gruffalo series and Stickman books. They also love playing with their dollhouse. I don’t have many toy recommendations. They play with most toys for 15 seconds then get bored. They’d rather have bubble wrap, stickers and cardboard boxes 🤦‍♀️😂

My dd loves her kitchen set, toy food ( especially the kind you can cut),she’s getting Hey Duggee & Peppa pig toys, Leap Frog preschool toy, a doll house and a new toy kitchen. She’s also really into crafts. I really like the low or no mess crafts. Melissa and Doug have a lot that are great. She likes touch and feel or interactive books like Never Touch A Monster and they have Dinosaur version too. Little people or even Spider-Man type playsets are a fave, toy tools, she loves her indoor kids little tikes trampoline and her playhouse so much too. Bath tots like he bath tea set are faves. I miss Toys R Us 😭

I feel like my girls are the only ones that hate toys. I buy toys and they dont even care🙄

I wasted (yes I wasted) $100 on a play kitchen...and they use it as a trampoline🤨

Following because I have no idea what to get them for their birthdays/christmas.

My daughter loves all books, but her favorite by far are the Llama Llama series. Definitely suggest those!

My kids love Pete the cat, and (I don’t know your beliefs please don’t get offended)but my kids also love children’s bible stories

My boys got a kitchen for Xmas as he loves helping me in the kitchen,

Books wise he loves repetitive books, Julia Donaldson books are brilliant - the gruffalo, squash & a squeeze, room on the broom, snail & the whale x

My oldest loves ispy books. He had the disney versions with his favorite characters and the beginner versions of the actual ispy books. He also likes interactive books like pp said "never touch a dragon" or "never touch a dinosaur"

@sweet_pea1 @jessicalaneee Never Touch a Monster is a favorite, too. Have you ever read If You Ever See a Disco Fish? It's very similar but with sequins instead of rubbery things to feel

@lori0711 No offense taken! Is there a particular children's bible or book series you can recommend? We have some Alice in Bibleland books and my daughter loves the baby Jesus one but none of the others

@kerryy23 Agree about Julia Donaldson!!! Have you seen there are movies for The Gruffalo and The Gruffalo's Child?

We just found Poke-a-Dot! Books. Kids can bop reusable like bubble wrap dots all over the books
