Are there any Mommies who have drank Chai Latte..the one I had has star anise..will this hurt My…

I was googling because I’ve never heard of Star Anise, and the one I found has black licorice which is something to avoid while pregnant. I guess just see what the ingredients are in the tea, and google each one to see if it’s safe. I love tea, but there’s so much that say to avoid that I honestly just stopped drinking tea.

@spookylyn I completely agree!! I had a weird feeling that I stopped drinking it and looked up if it was ok to have and the ingredients.

@penelope127 Star Anise is a Spice that if found whole looks like a tiny star fish it tastes like a cross between cinnamon and cloves!! I didn't know if alot is consumed that it can cause birth defects in the unborn child. The Latte brand I was drinking said it has less than 2% of the ingredient in it but you can never be too sure which is why I took sips and then stopped drinking it when I had a feeling to look up the ingredients and see if it's ok to drink during pregnancy. I won't be drinking anymore of it while pregnant no matter how much I crave it!!

@spookylyn I don't think I have heard of hickory root before but I appreciate you telling me about it!! I won't be touching those fiber bars either! Last year I had drank a cold and sore throat tea that later after I was drinking it for 2 days causes miscarriage but I don't think that was the only thing that caused me to miscarry, I was under alot of stress and wasn't really eating and I lost tons of weight. So I'm definitely being careful this time!!

@spookylyn There's a poisonous kind..I think I'm going to just stay clear of all star anise!!

I drank Starbucks chai lattes almost everyday 🤷🏼‍♀️. All good here!
