Potty Training *Updated* Why is there such a push to do it so early?

Here's her bio and general tips: Hello I am Ceiamaria I am a stay at home Mother to 4 children ages 12,8,7 and 11 months old. I am happily married for 12 years and we are still going strong. I am determined and driven for success FAILURE isn't an option for me. I potty trained my oldest at 9 months old. My 2 middle son's were more difficult they were between 18 months and 2 years old. My baby boy was showing interest in potty training, I decided to buy him a potty chair. Potty training tips 1.) Don't rush your child 2.)Don't yell at your child 3.) Don't punish your child for having accidents 4.) Don't give you child candy 5.) Don't compare other children to your child 6.) Do praise your child 7.) Clap your hands when your child goes to the potty. 8.)Take your child every 15-30 minutes to the potty 9.)Don't criticize your child 10.) I don't recommend pull ups but I don't bash mothers who decided to use them. 11.) Remember potty training is not taught in one day you have to be determined to potty train your child. Just got my one month old to pee AND poop in the potty ☺ #godiaperfree
Anyone tried these before & it worked? What are your suggestions for potty training. My daughter will be 3 on Tuesday and we’re still in pull-ups 😞. I feel like a failure sometimes because she’s not fully potty trained & I slack off a lot.

@withlovedkj, I actually bought a foldable potty seat for travel cuz I don’t trust public bathrooms

I have a mattress protector. Our schedule varies for dinnertime so I guess we can be more aware of the cut off time for liquids. He usually potty before bed, there are some good days and some days where he has accidents. We made the mistake of putting pull ups on him during car rides and he’d hold his bowl movements until then because he was seemingly afraid to use the potty to do #2.

O ok so I agree with @girlmom., a mattress protector for bed and a cut off time for drinking anything...now the car ride depends on if he drinks before leaving and goes to the bathroom before leaving too...

He’s 2 years and 5 months. He uses it fine during the day and evenings. It’s overnight while he’s asleep or long car rides to and from my mom and Mils where he has accidents. @kaystorm87,

-Mattress protector
-Set a time to stop drinking before bed
- We don't eat or drink in our car so that one I'm not sure.
But I pack snacks and a drink for them to have when we get where we are going. We live in a very small town so everything is an hour plus..

How old is he...I did the same thing and it didn’t back fire but I also did it in the morning where about every 10-15 min I would take my kids to the bathroom to use it
