Where I live they won't admit you still you are Haveing strong contractions or water breaks so I could be at a 5 or 6…

@jenny955, It’s pretty standard anywhere that they will not keep you unless your 4cm dilated, membranes have ruptured, or in active labour. Of course theres exceptions to the rules if baby is in distress etc. Your only 37 weeks it’s common to remain at a 2 till 40 weeks. Being 2cm dilated doesn’t mean much in the big picture really unfortunately as it’s not considered active labour.

@jenny955 hospital didnt keep me because my contractions were not close enough. It was the hardest labour i ever had. My other 2 i had to be induced on my due date. You will get there just try get as much rest as you can your going to need it.

@jenny955, I was high risk they didn’t admit me at a 2 🤷‍♀️ It’s just protocols. Try walking or doing some stairs 🤞🏻

Ps- I was 4.5 cm with my 17 yr old for weeks. Sent home at 5.5/6 because contractions weren’t consistent. I went on to be overdue.

@jenny955, awe, you know my former name ☺️ well a heart rate issue would be a health issue. If you and baby are fine, you’re not in active labor and your water hasn’t broken - then there’s no need to keep you. You’re not even full term yet. Put your feet up, relax and let baby finish baking.

@beakymcspence yeah I know I could be 2cm for weeks everyone is diff. But a lot has changed my mom got admitted at a 3 with me and no high risks either

@laniejay its a general statement and thata how my state is I guess and they almost kept me for his heart rate going down I wasn't in active labor

@jenny955, People walk around weeks 2cm dilated. I’m an L&D nurse that’s very common. I personally walked around 3cm dilated with my daughter Memphis. Hopefully your babe bakes a bit longer ❤️

@spookylyn I'm not in active labor nor has my water broken. If I get to a 5 I would want them to keep me I don't live close to labor and delivery so i wouldn't be able to keep getting sent home

With my first i was 10 days over due and in labour for 4 days the hospital kept sending me home it was horrible i was finally admitted because i couldnt take the pain my water didnt break on its own the doctor had to it. Some hospitals i guess like to wait it out as long as possible. Hang in there mama once your holding your precious baby you will Forget all about the pain.
