When they can hold their whole trunk up, not just their head. You shouldn’t have to prop or support them. Also, they should be able to touch their tiptoe to the floor.

when he could hold his head up steadily. he was holding it up since he was born but i waited until around 4 months to put him in one to make sure he could support his head

6 months is the recommend time bc they need to be able to hold there head up
