I started supplementing at 2 weeks due to low supply. She stopped drinking formula at a year old but I’m still nursing her (basically just comfort nursing to sleep)
I did when my daughter was 7 months old. I am incredibly blessed to have made it that far, but I no longer had the support of my husband plus my supply drastically dropped due to food poisoning or a stomach bug. It still weighs on me that we didn't make it to a year which was my goal.
I wanted to breastfeed for at least 6 months but barely made it 3 weeks. Really bad post partum anxiety and depression did me in.
She transitioned to Enfamil formula really easily and everything's been fine. I still get really really sad that I can't feed my baby with my body as nature intended though. The mom guilt has been real!
@brianamestichelli Have you tried pumping to give in a bottle? That worked well for me but I still wasn't mentally strong enough to do that a million times a day 😔
@kjcross, I have a great medela pump and I express no milk !! I get the most milk when I hand express and I have bruised boobs because of that so now we’re going through the transition

Would love to i was disappointed in myself but my health got in the way and him wanting to use me as a paci the drs was like nonono

@kjcross, I am trying similac with only 1 feed a day of formula so far! My daughter has a tied tongue and we have latching issues

@brianamestichelli, sorry I’m just seeing your comment. My baby was not sensitive to the introduction of formula. I gave her Enfamil with no issues
