You're supposed to use a damp rag to wipe her tongue. Do it daily

@verguinia, time for something new then. That shouldn’t be used more than 7-10 days. Are you breastfeeding? If so, are you being treated? Are you sterilizing everything that goes in her mouth after each use?

@laniejay yes and I put the med on me as well i spoke to her doctor and he said bot to use anything he is crazyyy

Damn cloth gently wiping is fine. Once it starts coming off like that it usually clears up fairly quickly. Also I’m not too concerned about the length of time because thrush is notorious for being stubborn. You can ask your doctor about gentian violet. What script did you get for yourself?

@mommytok they told me to use her medication on my breasts so I clean them and put a bunch on my nursing pad and leave it on

@verguinia, oh no you should get your own script from your obgyn or midwife. It’ll be a thicker cream so it actually stays on instead of the liquid that baby gets.

@mommytok I went to my prenatal doctor I explained to her my baby has thrush I showed her the baby mouth she checked me and said I'm fine and she won't give me anything I tried that!!!!!

@verguinia, well that’s terrible practice 🤨 If you’re not being treated you’re going to pass it back and forth with her. Will your primary care write you a script for it? I also wouldn’t trust that obgyn anymore

@mommytok I only had a doctor while pregnant and that doctor was the one I saw it is terrible I have a creme they gave it to my baby her neck also had the infection because she is teething and drooling the emergancy room doctor said I can use it on my breasts but I'm scared if baby can eat it and if it's safe

Wow I'm surprised! My kids doctor told me to do that with this baby and the last son. Also I was given a cream for my nipples and liquid drops for the baby. My babys doctor also said to use some of the drops on my nipples until my ob gives me the cream again.
