Can I get my tubes tied at 20 after baby 2 is born in April ?

I don't know how it works in America but in England you wouldn't have a chance they'd say you are to young to make such a big decision... Like they know what the fuck is right for you it's pretty stupid really, clearly you know your own mind

Depends on the doctor. Your age could be a factor. I have heard of some turning people away for stupid reasons. If so I would just find another doctor that will do it. Also if you are serious about it talk to your doctor and get the paperwork in place sooner rather than later. I found out for my insurance I had to have the papers signed 30 days before it happened/baby was born for it to be approved I guess. And I wanted it done the next day after he was born. I was pushing it close on those 30 days too. (I had him 32 days after signing it lol) if I wouldn’t have made it to those 30 days I would have had to wait until after my postpartum appointment to do it.

Also I’m 25. And the doctor really pushed an IUD and asked me a million times of getting my tubes tied was really what I wanted. She was worried I may want kids when I’m in my mid to late 30’s. Uhhhhh no thanks. Lol

@karaleem, if pregnancy is dangerous for you then they will probably do it. I heard they usually don’t do it before your 30 or have had 3 kids unless there is something medically wrong with you that could harm you or baby if you were to get pregnant

I'm 31 and my ob considered me "young" lol!! She refused so i went to my regular family doc and they sent in a referral for a tubal to another one, which accepted. Worth a shot girl as long as you know youre done or if it dangerous.

@karaleem if there are life threatening medical reasons as to why you want it done, then I'm pretty sure they have a different standard of obligation to help you with it

When I asked that question ( I was 23) they said I had to have 2 kids or be over the age of 25. So since you do have 2 babies there could be a doctor that would do it. You just have to find him or her.

Typically yes. You have (or will have) two kids already. A doctor doesn’t have to agree to do it though. I would discuss it now while you are so early, because they might want to ask you in another 10 weeks or so, or even recommend you talk to a therapist to make sure. If you are married or have high risk pregnancies there’s even more reason too. I think they can be hesitant if you are not married because, well 10 years down the line you could meet the perfect person and want another child together.
