Hey moms hows it going with all of yall sorry it's been forever for me to come back on here. But I need to vent and I'm sorry but i gotta get off my chest so ok i have a 5 year old daughter and 1 year old baby girl. Ok so what I'm venting about is my oldest daughter Kendra is loud I mean loud where almost everytime she wakes up her sister alot and we all keep telling her lower your voice your sister is asleep so be quiet please because if you wake her up I will bust your butt well we did that and she still gets loud and I'm praying and hoping Reilly will get use to her sisters loud mouth. Well today she starts to throw a fit because shes not tired finding excuses on trying to stay awake even she says shes not but we all know she is well I went in her room to take care of it whining and crying about i want someone to stay in my room with me well shes gotten in a bad habit of that and were all trying to teach her to be a big girl to go to bed on her own will before I could she keeps getting louder and louder and wakes up her sister so I got pissed off and threw her book down on the ground and didnt want to deal with and went to go put her sister back to sleep. My question is on my venting how many parents go thru this with there kids along a baby in the family and still living with your in laws with almost 10 people in the same household. What do you do
@amelliaholmes1457, my 4 yr old has been a terror at bed time for a month. We couldn’t figure out why. We kept asking, trying to work around things, figuring out new strategies, etc. finally one day he said: I don’t want to go to bed because when I wake up, daddy isn’t here (he leaves at 5 am for work). So this weekend, we told him at night- Daddy doesn’t have to work tomorrow, he’ll be here when you get up. He went to bed with zero issues. We made a calendar to show him what days daddy is home in the mornings and what days he is home in the afternoon. Flipped the switch.
My point is- he had a need. It took a month to figure it out. It would have been so easy to be angry and punish. Broke my heart to find out why.
@laniejay well it started out she was doing good sleeping on her own with no one coming in there we would tell her ok its bed time please go brush your teeth and then give everyone hugs and kisses and then go find me a book to read and then its bed time will that went down hill after reading a book to her so I asked her why does she want someone to stay in here with you and she said because I'm scared and I asked her scared of what but I dont remember what it was so we stayed in there but shes been doing it over and over again and daddy and I have explained to her of she has a bad dream always pray to God to take away your bad dreams and then go back to sleep and she has but idk what's going on if it happens again I'll ask her.
Find out the root of why she is being loud. Does she feel like no one is listening? Does she need one on one attention? What are her emotional needs at the time?
Instead of “busting her ass” try some positive parenting techniques. Discussion, rewards for being quiet, encouragement, reminders of inside voices etc. If she gets her “ass busted” because she has to be quiet because of her sister- she’ll grow to resent her sister. Not to mention the long term ramifications that come from spanking. When kids act out, it is usually because there’s a need somewhere.

My August baby decided she wanted to be a May baby like her big sister. Madison Noelle was born on Tuesday, May 24 at 3:50pm, weighing 2lbs, 13oz and 14". She was born at 27 weeks and has a long road ahead of her. Every day she has been getting stronger and amazing everyone. Please keep us in your prayers, my family and I have a long road ahead of us. Congratulations to everyone and I wish you all wonderful pregnancies and deliveries! ??❤️
I can't take it anymore! Haley (yes my 1mth old and no I wasn't able to go through this "joy" of nursing my older daughter, Molly) has been screaming non stop for 6hrs! All she wants to do is eat and I can't have her attached to me all day, everyday! She has wanted to eat every hr on the hr for the past 3hrs! I put her in her room so I don't scream at her but I just can't take it!
FTM problems...
So I've made it pretty clear that I want to buy my daughter her fist Halloween costume. Her babysitter/nanny keeps saying she wanted to make her one. I told her yesterday that I wanted to find her something that my SO and I could dress up as a family. So I told her I am going to get it. She just text me and said 'not trying to step on your toes but I bought her two costumes'. She does this all the time. Anytime I want to do the "first" things with her she immediately does it. It...
I just absolutely love some women on here! Some woman wants to write on another women's post telling her she shouldn't be having sex at all in the beginning of pregnancy. I didn't know she was her doctor. Then she wants to tell me that the first trimester is only 1-9 weeks pregnant. And she lost her baby at 4 weeks pregnant due to sex. Like sweetie that's your period starting!
@laniejay Yea I think my daughters concern is nana because shes so atta hed to her thanks to her but like I said yea I'm gonna talk to her if it happens again tonight.
