Does anyone know why the MMR shot is not effective in some people ive had the shot 4 times and my body kicks it. My dr thinks I should get it again to see if it works this time but I just dont see the point. My most recent one was abouta year ago then 5 years before that and 2 times as a child. I dont see the point in getting it again if its not gonna work.

Have you ever gotten titer for it? Opt for that

Often people who’ve had the mumps, measles or rubella become immune to the vaccine itself when given at a later date. It’s very possible that is the case.

@beakymcspence Very Possible. My mom swears thats not the case but who knows it could've been diagnosed wrong. I wish i did know though.

@spookylyn So if I did happen to get one of those would my body be able to fight it on its own most likely? I just dont want to get it again if thats the case bc i know vaccines have lots of fillers in them. Id just rather stay away from getting it over and over again if there are negative side effects from overdoing it
