I wanna do like a mini smash cake thing for lil mans 6 month milestone any ideas if there is a way to make a cake without the sugar eggs and milk and still have a cake . That would. E helpf to .looking for tips and ideas
ссылка This is just one option there are tons!
@kmsespy smash pie i like that
There are muffins on Pinterest that you can change up @elijahsmom and then you can get yogurt as icing. On a side note, babies 6months up can start being introduced to foods.... Milk included unless they have a known allergy. So you could use yogurt with milk or without.
My first “cake” was a cherry pie. 😋
A small pie is easy to smash.
You can buy it at the store or make your own.
Not much sugar but the jam you decide to put into the pie crust.
@elijahsmom tbh if I were you I'd just try a new food he hasn't had yet or maybe like a teething wafer or baby yogurt or forgo food treats altogether and do a photoshoot and help him "unwrap" a gift
If you’re going to be insistent about doing a cake I would least choose something that has low sugar like maybe angel food sponge cake and top it with fruit instead. Still think it’s a bad idea though.
Both of my kids had just started solids at this point and we’re trying to get a hang of it. It took a while. And never mind having the coordination to be able to smash something and stick it in their mouth. I think this is a cute idea but would be a waste of money and way too much sugar for a baby.
@lostmyveecard okay i like that idea. I dont want an actual cake unless there is some way to take out the sugar eggs and milk and still have a decent cake
Sugar is a bad idea. Maybe try a mashed potato and peas cake
I think it’s ridiculous to a give a baby sugar at 6 Months . Plus what’s the fun and excitement 6 months later when they turn 1 year
@bethann87 i had to start him a little earlier. Bc he just wasnt getting full i got a doctors okay .
I just wanna know like u guys ideas n how u did it
That's a lot of sugar for a baby barely starting solids.
@elijahsmom i would definitely look into your options. I had the baker make sure my sons had minimal icing as possible. She did it so thin you could see the cake on some parts (totally fine with me) be prepared he probably will get a belly ache after eating the cake and icing so have gas drops on gripe water on hand.
@boymamaa awwe . So cute
I just know he cant have dairy so that is what is messing me up
What are you ladies favorite cake flavors 🤔
Anyone have pictures of their baby shower cakes? I need ideas lol
ask your SO
Going off Rowan's post and Mandy's idea:
mommies any ideas on how to actually reveal the gender at my gender reveal party ? I don't want to do the normal balloon out the box , or the cake .

LOOK👀 everyone!
