Any tips or tricks to get baby to sleep in his crib? He cries every time we lay him in it. Right now we’re sitting up in the rocking chair. And i don’t want to put him in the bed with us at all.
@tacos4lyfe, He sleeps perfectly on me and my boyfriend. Just makes me nervous when it’s time for us to get sleep
I couldn’t get my baby to sleep in a crib or anywhere that wasn’t my arms for the first 5 months. They say it takes about 3 months for them to adjust to being out of the womb. But I suppose you could try all the tricks like swaddling, laying a warm water bottle beside baby, shhhing, swaying and white noise and making sure baby is totally asleep before putting him down. Keeping your hand on him for a few moments after laying him down, jiggling him a little when he’s down. Honestly I tried all of that with my daughter and nothing worked but maybe you will have better luck.
Look up the fourth trimester. Your baby is so new to this world and just wants to be near you or on you.
Then yes I'd defiantly try the rock and play. You also could do a swing.
@thegermanmommy, I’ve been lookin g into those imma definitely try to get one and see if he likes that@keelygeedy, Yes. He hates hit but when we leave him free he jolts himself awake and when he’s swaddled he cries and wants to be out
I know that a lot of the time the reason a newborn won't sleep in their crib is because they don't feel safe. They like to be cuddled and they like that really close feeling. Both of my daughters loved the rock and play. That is what they both slept in for the 1st month of their lives. I also co-slept with them as well with a dock a tot. Dock a tots are pricey but totally worth it.
@kbbaybee16, will do thank you
