Has anyone got their baby circumcised?? If so does it hurt the baby? I’m so scared I don’t want my baby to get it done…

I chose not to do it, my husband is intact, never had any problems in his life. Plus he's from Mexico where it's not even heard of there. It's more of an American/religion thing. There are more intact men in the world. Only thing that can protect you from STDs are condoms. Plus the foreskin is a very important part of the body. My son never had any problems, and there won't be any problems . The foreskin is fused to the head of the penis, so do not retract! It will retract by puberty on its own. It's very easy to care for, just wipe like a finger and you're good to go. I know a guy who just got circumcised last year at 20 and he is suffering from depression because of it. He did it because his girlfriend at the time thought being intact was gross. He has lost so much sensitivity he once had, it's a big change, a big difference, and once gone you can't put it back.

I have seen circumcision in clinicals and it was terrible. The babies scream and cry. I hated it. The doctor I saw even gave the babies more meds so they will go back sleeping. As a nurse, I would not recommend it. My husband is intact and loves it and so is our son. My husband sad he would haves hated being cut. And honestly a intact penis looks better.

Also, the “benefits” of circumcision are myths that have been debunked. Only condoms protect you from infection. The rates of uti differ by less than half of a percent when the intact penis is cared for properly

My son is the first not circumcised in our family and he’s the only one with no penile issues. My SO lost 80% of the sensation of his penis due to his circumcision. There ARE risks, there ARE downsides. And yes, genital cutting hurts. There have been many many studies.

🙋🏻‍♀️ They’re so numb it doesn’t hurt.. My guy was four days old, he was quiet during it, and slept a bunch after. Didn’t bother him a bit. I was afraid to change his diaper after(my mom did the first few) 😅 But yes, It is good for them. Healthy. Less chance of infection now and in the future. Plus he won’t be teased in the locker room for being “different”. Of course there’s the portion of people who say it’s “torture and he can decide when he’s older if he wants to cut a piece of himself off” .. I had some crazy *itch tell me I’d molested my son for circumcising, since he “couldn’t consent” .. yes, I shut her dumbness down 😅 What in the world.

Oh. If you breastfeed. Just be prepared to nurse him a bunch! It’s comforting and helps him heal 💙

My first fiancé, got himself circumcised when he was 29. He resented his parents for not doing it to him as a baby. It was painful and he had complications afterwards that would have been avoided if he’d been baby. Healing faster and what not. Plus his thing was a bit creepy, being my first 😅🙈

My son is. He actually did really well during the procedure, didn’t cry until afterwards. The part that hurt him I think was how raw it was after. But Vaseline and a lil Tylenol helped that a ton. He has had no problems, and the plastibell device they put on to heal came off after 5-7 days and by day 10 it was completely healed up. It really wasn’t as bad as some people make it out to be!

My boy is. It didn’t really seem to bother him. It was all healed up in about a week. He hasn’t had any problems. And not only is it good for him but for his future wife as well. It’ll lower her risk of cervical cancer!

Both my boys are , it hurt them for a short time when it was done at the office but it’s very healthy & I recommend it !
