My husbands nonchalant attitude about this hurricane is driving me insane... if we get stuck here because of him and I have to be under the same roof with him with no power... I might be on the news🙄
We have no shutters no water no flashlights no food!!! His commander still made him go to work today which so dumb because NO ONE IS THINKING ABOUT JOINING THE ARMY TODAY!!!!!!!!!
Ugh still on this couch arguing with my husband cause he just thinks I’m over reacting. There is literally a lake in my backyard!!! Our friend offered for us to stay with them and we said okay but with this information !! Once it hits land it’s going to be bringing tons of rainfall cause flooding, I’m not trying to be here period. I’m not gonna gamble with my kids lives!
@d-lane-knee11 what bothers me is that it will stall over the Carolinas and cause flooding in areas that do not normally flood. Also, electricity goes out, trees fall, and stores shut down. Luckily I'm in GA. But we had Irma last year and tornado the year before so I panic a little and over prepare for the worst.
@mar_la, @lovelily, Maybe it is a military thing...
My husband (ex-army) doesn’t want to leave. They’re evacuating parts of our city but not where we are (we’re not in a flood zone). He’s been through a few hurricanes before so he’s chill about the whole thing but this is my first of this magnitude.
I'm guessing he's a recruiter? He shouldn't be part of essential personnel, Charleston is under mandatory evacuation... there's absolutely no reason why his commander should be making you guys stay there! I hope you guys can make it out of there asap🙏🏽
@i_accidentally, they just let him out of work. They said he had to go in for a half a day.
