U do have to give 28days notice if not medical reason x

I was going to leave at 35 weeks but started my maternity at 29 weeks because I just could not cope anymore...im sure you can push it forward as long as its from 11 weeks till your due date

I had to bring my maternity leave forward 4 wks as I couldn't cope well. The best thing to do would be speak to your manager. At the end of the day if you're struggling and they refused to bring it forward you could just go doctor's and get signed off sick until your maternity leave starts x

I look after children and thinking about moving my date forward a week xx

I was due to leave at 39 weeks but they were dicks and wouldn’t give me a seat to use I worked on a customer service desk so changed it to 37 weeks xxx

@jennypoulter, I had to leave a week earlier as I was in so much pain trying to do the job it shouldn’t be a problem as you can’t predict how your pregnancy/body is going to be at the end xxx

I was meant to leave at 36 weeks but bought mine forward by a week and leaving this Friday. They could see I was struggling with tiredness. They told me when I chose the original leave date i could leave early if I felt I couldn’t do anymore x

@mrsmowmow, oh okay I didn’t know about the 4 weeks I will have to have a word and perhaps I can go off about 35 weeks x

@tbrooks15, oh that sounds good I had to do a risk assessment and it said it in there that if I need to leave due to health complications I can but currently I don’t have any perhaps that would be something I would have to speak to them about i work nights and it’s killing me lol. X

Would your work consider a flexible end. With mine they let me work up until I was ready and could let them know week to week. They didn’t think I would come back after xmas (was 32 weeks with twins) so put it in for that date but moved it each week I worked more so worked until 36 weeks in the end x

I was leaving at 38 weeks but changed it to 36 weeks by giving my manager 28 days notice. Glad I did too as I had her at 38 weeks lol 😂 xxx
