is it normal to have light spotting while your pregnant? I'm 8 weeks pregnant!

I did with all of my babies and I’m on my fifth. My doctor never found out why, it just happened. I guess it’s normal for me. I spotted for like 2 weeks with this baby with no pain but still went to the ER and everything was fine. My numbers were going up like they were supposed to. I’m almost 29 weeks now.
