Has anyone tried doing the raspberry leaf tea to induce labor?
Nothing will "induce" labor I feel. Unless your baby is ready or your medically induced. What is your medical reason? I have super high risk preeclampsia ( been seen twice a week since about 34 weeks) and my doctor is inducing at 39 weeks. Most doctors consider full term.
@dayvan789 oh wow but was that helpful for you not feeling the contractions until you were further along in labor? Did you have to rush to hospital, because I live 40 minutes away from my hospital.
@williamsl.miesha, with my other pregnancy i would not feel the contractions till I was like 4cm open
@williamsl.miesha, ease your contractions try to drink 3 cups a day
@dayvan789 I figured it wouldn't induce me just wondering how it benefits the process of going into labor
@dayvan789 so would it help ease your contractions or make them worse?
@williamsl.miesha, yes go head an drink the tea it would help me with contractions
It doesn’t include you it helps your body tone your uterus so for when your in actual labor && drinking it weeks before helps it build up in your body
I have not but I was wondering if it safe to drink my due date is 4 days away and I am constantly getting contractions and then they just stop. 😔 so suggestions anyone?
@beyond_beautifulx3, Exactly self induction at 37 weeks isn’t going on your own though? So what’s your point lol she’d rather not have to induce you that includes self induction. Why would you risk your safety and your unborn child’s?
@beakymcspence, she said I could go sometime this week she’d rather it happen with out trying to induce me
@beyond_beautifulx3, If you have a medical reason for induction then you will be induced when your doctor schedules it? Why would you try and induce at home, because if it’s medically necessary due to a complication you shouldn’t be inducing at home for obvious safety reasons. Speaking as a L&D nurse that would be a very poor and irresponsible choice on your part hun.
@beakymcspence, yeah medical reason they’re not gunna let me go past 38 weeks
@bodybycheetos, I thought it was only for toning glad you clarified that 🙂 I was like holy doodle I used it the last couple weeks with my youngest to help prep the uterus and he definitely came on his exact date lol
It isn't meant to induce labor. It's safe to drink multiple times a day once you hit the last trimester and is used to tone your uterus for labor. 37 weeks is too early to try to naturally induce anyways. Lung* and brain development is crucial the last few weeks 😊
To my knowledge it’s more to tone the uterus for labour. Are you trying to induce at 37 weeks for medical reasons?
@williamsl.miesha, when I felt the actual strong contractions I try to stay calm an I took a shower an then I left to the hospital the hospital is 30 min away from my house
