@oktoberwitch oh okay. And I reached out to my landlord, but of course they dnt have anyone to speak to on the weekends and I'll have to wait until Monday. I'm beyond irritated.

@jleona, yeah they would send you a notice, and they would also have shut off your electric as well. It’s probably an issue with the heater like everyone else said, and to call your landlord

@ek620 @nicemmcha2015 @oktoberwitch I live in an apartment building. I'm only responsible for my rent and electric. I just spoke to the gas company and they told me the hot water for my complex is handled through the electric company. I do have a past due balance, but wouldn't they come for the electric before the hot water?? And dnt they have to send a shut off notice before anything?

Is your hot water by gas? Our electric company and gas company are the same, but two different accounts. If the gas doesn’t get paid, we don’t get hot water. I’ve mistaken our gas bill for our electric bill before 🤦🏻‍♀️

Your hot water heater probably died.

Might be an issue with the hot water heater itself.
