My mom wants to do my baby shower but she wants ME to drive 4 hours to be present. That means my sisters and nieces will be left out because they live too far. If my mom would just come to me everyone will be able to attend. It doesn’t makes sense to me.

@candacerenee I ran into problem like this to. If you dont wanna worry about doing two showers then do not do it. Its about you and your baby not your mom. Tell her that your doing it closer to you and thats that. But if you wanna do two then by all mean do it girl! 😀 Do it your way. In my case I was not going to worry about planning another party.

I would just thank her for offering, but you really aren’t up to the drive. Ask if she would consider having it at your house, and if not maybe she can just help someone else plan it in your area. She should understand. That’s 8 hrs to drive. I had a 1 hr drive to my shower with my last pregnancy- it wasn’t bad, but I was so worn out- I could not imagine 4 hrs! That’s why we are having a small one at our house. Simple and easy and not to mention we won’t have to haul everything back.
