This school closure is going to really suck for my daughter when it comes time to make up the missed days :/ all the teachers here are on strike and have been since Tuesday of last week school was supposed to start wednesday 8/29 .. now the school districts have to take the teachers to court. This is ridiculous!!! I'm freaking pissed

I’m a Business Manager in a Washington school district and the negations with teachers has been pretty tough this year. We are in mediation but luckily our teachers are still in the classrooms. Unfortunately the kids suffer because they don’t understand why they can’t go to school. Sorry you and your daughter are going through this.

Transgender children
So I just learned that in my kids school district (my kids aren't in school yet my oldest will be starting kindergarten next September) there are twin boys who identify as girls. They are 5 years old. What's your opinions on this matter given they are 5!!! I don't believe that at that age they really understand the whole thing. So the entire school had to take a course on how to handle transgender children. For example they can't say girls go this or boys do that. What are...
