Hello, does anyone have a toddler that has autism. Waiting on appointment to come up to have a plan set in motion for my child that does. I don’t know how to interact with him as he is so concentrated on his phone he doesn’t pay attention to much to anything else they said that’s normal for him to get stuck on stuff like that but I wanna find stuff that he will enjoy instead of the phone.... anyone have any ideas? ☹️ This is my first child no one in my family has autism so it’s very hard because I don’t know how to go about this!!!!

My 3 yo son is autistic and my 31 yo brother is autistic, diagnosed when he was 2 yo. My done just started preschool too. I can try to help with any questions you might have and if you want to meet up sometime I live in Concord.
@kambam, ok yes i will contact them tomorrow my son is 2 1/2 so yes almost 3..!!! all the services I could get him I’m going to anything to help him I’ve hear catching it early will help a lot in the long run
Their free services end at 3y though. Be quick. They may still work with you free or low cost though, depending.

Me too. I was worried about my son for a while but we're almost certain hes not at risk now. We just got hooked up with early intervention for speech and some other therapies though!! If you dont have any services for your son I think they are a cali organization but not certain. Contact early intervention

@autism.mommy, thank you for sharing, so it’s normal for him to want to be alone I always try to get him to be with me in the same area I’m at in the house or interact with me but he just wants to go by his self to a room an play alone.... does your children have speech delays? he use to speak very well before his 2nd birthday was saying very clear and full sentences and just completely lost it all...
My son has a Tablet but we hardly ever ever use it and when he does it’s only for very short while and he’s interested in baby toys honestly that are for one yr olds. But I’m not to worried cuz we get him the learning things..... My youngest with Autism is 4 now but at that age he didn’t really want anything to do with anyone but play with his toys alone or older brother who is moderate Autistic... His best friend is my youngest who will be 2 in Nov. They have to both same interest currently
Hard to say cuz all kids on spectrum are different. They all have different interests and issues with certain things. Maybe @autism.mommy can help out.

My son wants a phone and I don’t know why lol. I’m like you have a iPad for games and anyone you need to call you can have my phone.
Yesterday I went out with my boyfriend went to watch a movie, me and him don't live together yet. but point is yesterday when he was dropping me off his like sleep over at my house witch the mom and dad lives. I said no,
his response was why is everyone deciding or making choices for you and their going to do the same with the baby, when I know that's not true. what he thinks is that my mom tells me not to sleep over. So he left all mad. and I felt in my heart that he went on and cheated on me...
At What Age Should a Child Make Their Own Breakfast?

At what age do you think a child should be making their own breakfast? I have a 10 year old and I think he is perfectly capable of making himself breakfast. It doesn't take rocket science to put some waffles into the toaster, or microwave some pancakes. My husband insists that he needs to have breakfast made for him because if we left it up to him he wouldn't eat enough and it would take him forever.
