Appointment went well don't need to be seen now til October 4th that day I will be getting to hear baby's heartbeat and am so excited for that day today's appointment was hard had to hold my urine for half hour and get 9 tubes of blood drawn and a pelvic exam just wanted to give an update am hoping I will know the gender by the time my birthday comes which will be November 5th

I just gaged in my mouth lol. I hate these they taste awful. I did 5 with my first pregnancy and 3 with my second.

@tinkerbell, they have you doing it now? Do you already have diabetes? With all of my pregnancies they have you do it between 24-28 weeks... providing your not over weight and you don’t have a history.

@cowgirl2790, they don't make you drink it if you already have diabetes. I have type 1 and have never drank it.

@tinkerbell, crazy how drs are different. I only took it at 28 weeks.

@cowgirl2790 they make you do it two times I was never diabetic with my other two pregnacys but here they do it with all unless you have had it with past pregnacys then they won't make you drink it

@tinkerbell, in the same day?? Th y can’t do that your results will be wrong. I am a phlebotomist and do this everyday. once you throw up no matter how long into it or how much you threw up the test is not valid. I would make sure you tell your doctor if your results come in high. And I would also let the manger know at the place who drew your blood. It’s patient neglect in a sense. This kinda stuff makes me so mad it can mis diagnosis.

@dinamarie1995 well it was for diabetes along with other tests they have done an STD panel everything and I took a big jug of it and threw it up right away I had to sit for an hour and they handed me another one and I just sit there for another hour

@dinamarie1995 plus I'm not worried about it I know I'm not diabetic I wasn't with my other two boys all my kids have the same baby daddy so I am not worried the only thing that I do know that I will have is GBS Group B strep which needs to be treated in labor with antibiotics two doses
