At what age do kids start preschool or does it depend on the district and school

2s - private

3s - private

PreK - limited spots public - 4yo by sept 1st

K - public - 5yo by sept 1st

Ok thanks my 3yo is itching to go to school but we keep telling her next year

My son started at 2. But I think they have to turn 3 before sept 12 I believe and or the beginning of the school year and have to be potty trained

It was a public school to that the the first 5 program provides.

My son started at 3 I was going to wait until he was four

My daughter started at 3 years old.

@anacort, it has to be sept of this year for her to start. She won’t be able to start until the begging of next school year. Maybe even during the summer. It depends on when there enrollments are. My son started at 2 in the beginning of July and turned 3 in August.

Depends on the district. Our district has a 3's and 4's class you can pay for so our son will be starting that one next year when he's almost 4. He can't start this year because he's not 3 until next month.

My daughter will be 3 in January she starts preschool August 2019 publicly not private...my other 2 were 4 and 5 last year when they went..goes by Birthday here

My oldest started at 3. We were able to use her dad’s name and she was accepted into a free program. Now that we’re divorced and I make more money than him, my middle daughter has to be 4 by September 1st so she won’t be going until next year.
