I have one right now too. I had a day where I didn’t feel her much and they checked her heartbeat and said she’s doing good, you don’t feel her because you have an anterior placenta. If I wouldn’t have had a concern about her movement, I probably would never know that I had it. That alone is nothing to worry about! :)
I have one now and they didn’t tell me I asked them if I had one she said yes cause I read about it online. I didn’t feel movements til about 21/22 weeks
I have one! Like others say it’s just harder to feel movement because there’s a barrier that blocks it on the outside of the belly. No it didn’t put me at high risk.
I currently have one as well, I found out at 20 weeks because they did the anatomy scan and I said I wasn’t feeling any kicks and she said it was because of the anterior placenta, I asked the doctor and they said the placenta just attaches to the front instead of the sides or back and it was nothing to be concerned about!
@mommyjay0579 I am high risk during first trimester and have bi weekly checks on babe. I wasn't actually told about the anterior placenta until I ended up in l&d just short of 24 weeks because I hadn't felt baby in over 24 hours. The nurse said it to me like I was an idiot and I was like no one ever said anything! The anterior placenta itself should not put you into a high risk category. There may be other things that could but for the most part it just makes baby harder to feel and sometimes the heartbeat harder to find. We could only get heart eat at my hairline until 32 weeks.
I currently do. I didn't feel little man until about 22 weeks and I hardly felt anything at all. Still today for the most part I can only feel hiccups. It's alot harder to find his heartbeat and to get a good reading. This pregnancy has been alot different for me but I don't know how much of that has anything to do with the anterior placenta.
