Please tell me I’m not the only one . This really upsets me. Every time I send her to my ma in laws she comes she gets stains all over her clothes , that I have washed twice even with stain remover . And end up throwing away . I can’t afford to keep throwing her nice clothes away . Even if this is washable paint... she should’ve taken her shirt off . Also had given her fruits that stain brand new clothes. Even today I sent her in her some basic clothes . I’m gonna stop sending her in her nice clothes 😫😢 she doesn’t have to wash her clothes she doesn’t understand how much I’ve thrown away ! 😡

Sanity saving tip: IKEA has long sleeve art smocks for younger kiddos. Idk if you have one near you or could order it online, but much cheaper than buying new clothes!

@klazaro, like I said I didn’t mean dress up clothes , her play clothes are still very nice brands . In the end, I don’t care what I dress her in . She needs to take it off if she wants her to paint or do messy activities . And again ITS preventable .

@klazaro, she doesn’t own any Janie and jack or whatever that brand is , that’s way too expensive.

@klazaro, by nice clothing, I don’t mean dress up , I mean nice Brands . Also here at my house she has has stained something MAYBE once . But any time I have my daughter do something messy like this I take her clothes off and set her up outside . It’s preventable. She should’ve taken her clothes off.

These work great. We always did this at the daycare

She really should care more though. Especially if she’s not buying her clothes. “So what if it doesn’t” if it doesn’t you’re wasting money on her clothes!

Have you asked you mil to change her clothes for messy stuff? Or maybe suggest to her taking a trash bag and cutting out a cover for her clothes. Like u just cut out a head and arm holes.

Yes do that ! And if she stains her nice clothes, tell her shes buying her a new outfit since she has a bunch of old clothes that she could've changed her in!

@ella__little__bliss sorry i kinda skipped along, just know i read the throwing away part and figured I'd give the advice of keeping the stained clothes for her place or any messy activity 🤷🏻 no need to throw away! (To a point)

@lii94, that’s a good idea ... but I don’t really wanna keep stained clothes here I could tell her to keep them at her place because her closet here is so full already

Stop sending her in nice clothes? Lol sorry that might sound rude but its literally the simplest solution i could think of. Instead of throwing out the stained clothes keep them for your MIL and when she asks just tell her "you like to do activities that involve getting messy and i don't want her to stain more clothing so i put her in already stained clothing so i dont have to worry about it"

@blueismycolor, it’s not my child’s fault . She never stains her clothes at home because I take them off during messy activities or make it less messy . All I ask if for more effort , or she can start buyin her clothes lol

My kids always ruin their clothes at my MIL’s. Now I just send them to her house in the stuff she bought them, lol.

Probably a cray question to ask, but when did y’all start to wash your newborns clothes and putting them away? Like I’ve been getting clothes since I found out what I was having but I haven’t taken off tags yet or washed anything. I’m 30 weeks. It’s crazy because with my other 3 kids I didn’t really wash a lot of their stuff at first (got lazy) ALSO what laundry detergent did you use if you didn’t use Dreft? Because i saw Pyrex for Baby an didn’t know if anyone tried it??

Blowout ? My two month old has at least one diaper blowout everyday. It gets all over his clothes, car seat, blankets and me. At this rate I won't be able to give any of his clothes away, they all have poop stains on them. I have a spray and wash that I use to saturate the stains before I pre-soak them..The stains still don't come out. He wears huggies brand diapers. Not sure if theses diapers just truly suck or if I should go down a size. Also, what is a good remedy for stains? TIA

Need advice So dd is a little over 2yr old and both her pedi and dentist said it’s time to start taking away the paci. Well it’s been hell! If she doesn’t have it she cries and she will knot and tangle her hair up in her sleep because it’s her way of soothing. She wakes up with big rats nests that I have to comb out and sometimes cut. She will also chew on her clothes if she doesn’t have it and put small teeth holes in them. Has anyone else had a hard time taking away a paci and anything you did to help?
