It depends my dr did a lot for bonding purposes but alot of drs don’t do many at all unless the patient is high risk I had a ton and wasn’t high risk at all

I've had about 7 or 8 and I'm only 28 weeks. But they were monitoring me weekly as I was having complications! I'm on regular visits now , so not sur3 how often I'll be getting them !

Most insurances will only help with 2 or 3 standard. Definitely speak to your doctor he might be able to right it up to where insurance will completely cover

@leshain18, speak to your doctor to see if and why you “need” so many. I understand where you’re coming from. Maybe they consider you high risk.

@lpheartsyou, I had one for growth too and my baby is measuring a whole week bigger that the side he/her should be at this point so I’m guessing I’m having a big one but other than that I think 7 is a bit much so far and having 15 more weeks to go

@sky105, I think one was for something specific they got the result they were looking for but I just can’t pay $50 every visit and I have 15 more weeks to come

@leshain18, is it a routine ultrasound or a scan for something specific? I would ask the dr to see if you can skip it? 7 isn’t bad, that’s actually more than some get for their whole pregnancy.

I couldn’t skip any and I wouldn’t have since they monitored everything closely.

@sky105, this is also my very first pregnancy and my health history just shows I have Anemia (a sickle cell trait ) that’s about it
