Baby is frank breech and has been for most of my pregnancy. Will his legs come out okay? I’m just super nervous that something will be wrong because of the position...
@blessedladybug, that’s awesome! Hope I have a good experience as well!
It’s going well. It’s my first baby ever so this is all new for me. Incision is still slightly sore, but the recovery has been good. I was able to get up and walk as soon as they took the catheter out, and the epidural/spinal block didn’t really limit me at all 🤗.
@blessedladybug, we shall see! How’s your recovery going?
@jb15, Yep that’s a good word to describe it lol! Flexible! That’s definitely what I would say he is. I think they grow out of that though as they get older...
@jb15, I’m sorry 😐! Prayers everything will be ok.
@blessedladybug, okay that makes me feel better! Thank you! I can’t wait to meet my flexible little guy!
@jb15, Nope they came down immediately. He looked normal. But I will say he is able to lift his legs up close to that particular position if he feels like it lol. He also can cross his legs quite easily into the Indian position, but I think most babies can do that...
@blessedladybug, did your babies legs stay up for awhile after birth??
@autism.mommy, no because he’s a bigger baby and there are also risk of him getting stuck if I do vaginally
Ask for the baby to be turned! They can do it! They use a epidural and 2 doctors try to turn the baby. My son was full breeched and when I went for my version I was in active labor they had to do a c section instead.
I just had a frank breeched baby via c section and everything turned out well. I had a planned c section, because they felt it was the safest option. But I will say as a precaution, they are going to do a ultrasound around 6-7 weeks of age of his hips to make sure he doesn’t have hip dysplasia. The pediatrician said she didn’t feel like anything was wrong with his hips when she moved them, but just to make sure, an ultrasound will be done. They recommend this on most breeched babies after they’re delivered.
My son was frank breech and I had a csection. We did an ultrasound on his hips to make sure this legs were fine everything turned out awesome.
@jb15 I'm sorry. I have no had one. Have they tried to turn him or anything?
@autism.mommy, yeah my doctor already is advising me to get a C- section
They will do C-section if they can't get him to go into position if not yet when you go into Labor.
@jb15, You will!! 🤗
