So sorry for your loss. I lost my baby at 15 Weeks last Thursday.

@mnturdburgler, We didn’t find out that I needed it till I went in for my d&c. And I went in for my surgery 3 days after they told me. When they told me it was a miscarriage they said the baby had passed away about 1-2 weeks ago. And that my body was still producing the hormones of the pregnancy and I was still having morning sickness. I had morning sickness that morning before I went into surgery. And that my body wasn’t passing the baby on its own. I had no blood coming out of me at all during my pregnancy. I have a follow up appointment in about a month to find out more but that’s what they could tell me at that time after I was out of the operation room and awake.

Sorry you have to go through this hun . It's very tough. I need rhogam shots. The only time you would need it early in a pregnancy is if you are bleeding though it has nothing to do with causing a miscarriage if you don't get it, unless you bleed and blood is mixed. They did give you a shot within 48 hours of the miscarriage right?

@spookylyn, yeah they said now that anytime I try and get pregnant I will most definitely need a shot of RhoGAM. Just kinda wish I knew a little sooner. But things happen for a reason sometimes. It’s made my fiancé and I closer then we have ever been.

@penelope127, yeah I feel like that information will most definitely be helpful in future pregnancies. And maybe it will help them learn why I was loosing a bunch of weight instead of gaining. Knowing that kinda made me feel a bit better. Not that it totally helps but at least I know for the future.

@lillybud37, that’s helpful to know for the future. Since it was my first one, the dr just said for now it’s bad luck. It did give me the opportunity to have some early screening to see if it was a viable pregnancy so that helped me a lot.

@spookylyn, Thanks it’s been a tough few days. As I’m starting to feel the postpartum and depression from it. But my fiancé is helping me through it the best he can. We actually kinda found out why we lost the baby. I am a negative blood type and the baby was a positive. I was actually talking to one of my older sisters about it. And she told me some people can wait till they are about 28 weeks to get that shot. But some of people can’t.

Thanks it’s been hard. Especially because we wanted it so bad. I ended up actually having a d&c a few days ago.

I’m so sorry. I’ve been there. My first pregnancy ended in miscarriage at 10 weeks. 😞
