So my husband ended up having to work for his birthday. He normally works 8 hrs then gets off so I planned something special. I got money to take him to eat, then to our bar to drink and play pool, then I was going to take him next door to the hotel we first got together at. When he opens the door he will see happy birthday spelled out in rose petals on the bed and a ring around the bed. I packed is work clothes and stocked up on beer so we can go there and relax and get freaky any way he wants. Well he went to work at 4 am and won't get to get off until 5:30pm then has to drive an hour to get home so I know hes exhausted, then he calls and says his legs are really chapped from getting sweaty so he doesn't know if he wants to go celebrate tonight. (He doesn't know about the hotel). I'm trying to be understanding but I'm pretty upset and tried not to cry over the phone because that would give away that there was a surprise. I don't know if I should tell him if he refuses to go or just cancel my plans. I really really wanted to be romantic and surprise him but it looks like the world is against me today 😭😭😭
Update: well we went out to dinner then I drove him to the hotel. He got so mad when he found out I rented a room saying I was wasting money. I insisted he see the room so he got out and slammed the door, I took him to the room and showed him and he immediately turned around and hugged me and started apologizing. After that he enjoyed himself and started thanking me for doing something so sweet for him. Poor baby he was so tired so I tried to do everything for him. Over all it was a really good special night.

Stick to the plan he will love the idea just tell him you want to take him out to eat. Once you guys are out and about show him your surprise.

Sorry. Sounds like a lot of effort put into something he usually 'hates' (surprises). You'll probably need to tell him and learn from the experience. It's his birthday, so I'd err on the side of doing what he wants. After a hard day of work, beer and kid-free relaxation probably sounds amazing. Lol
He hates surprises and will literally not move an inch until I tell him what it is so he doesn't even know there is a surprise. If he knew he'd ruin it 😔

So I just learned that in my kids school district (my kids aren't in school yet my oldest will be starting kindergarten next September) there are twin boys who identify as girls. I had a stillborn daughter at 38 weeks this passed Nov. This is my second month ttc. (Last month we only tried for like two weeks though). My last and only pregnancy, I got pregnant the first month of ttc so I hope it's quick this time again.
