I know there are a lot of moms in here that are always looking to give advice in regards safety. (Please, no need to be rude) I KNOW CRIB BUMPERS ARE NOT SAFE. However, I got gifted a whole set for my baby from babies r us. (Can't return it, obviously, and really not planning on using it). I'm setting up the crib and playing with the crib bumper, just because. 🤷🏽♀️ My husband loves the bumper crib and suggested this (see pictures).
Never seen anyone using it this way, opinions?!? Also... do you see any other safety concerns or warnings? 🤔

Thank you everyone ☺ I get super paranoid. So reassurance is good. I'll tell hubby that all of you liked it and approve lol He mentioned feeling left out as we prepare for baby's arrival. Hopefully this would put a smile on his face. ❤
And like @mokimbo said just make sure to just put baby in the bed. Nothing in it but tight fitted sheet. Looks good mama 👍🏻
Putting it low, especially on the outside of the crib is super smart and wouldn't cause a risk to baby. She can't run into it and risk the suffocation. It's nowhere near where she can reach by being right along the mattress. I don't see anything unsafe about doing it like that.
@wendy.n it is recommended to have absolutely nothing in the crib except for a tight fitted sheet until 1 year of age to help prevent SIDS and suffocation/strangulation

I think that’s a fantastic idea. I may do the same thing now. Thanks for the idea.
I’m confused. I thought crib bumpers were safe to use. Why aren’t they safe?
@chadandtanya14 I see. I never seen it use this way. I was like, woah... hubby is a genius lol
