At what age do children usually get a cell phone? But only for emergencies and family calling

I got my first around 12. things may have changed since then.

I would say 12 years or older, however there would be cellphone rules to follow. 😉

My boy's got their cell phones last year at the ages of 8 and 7 year's old..

15 or 16

We waited until our oldest was 10

My son is turning seven and has been asking for one, but wasn’t sure if that is too young, not sure why he wants it because it definitely would only be for emergencies and calling us

I got my first one when I was 9/10 but I would only talk to the woman I lived with. I wasn’t allowed to make calls or text anyone. Then at 12 I got my first one to use still with a few restrictions.

Only the really wealthy had cell phones when I was growing up, and they were gigantic. I got my first cell phone at 22 years old Lol 😂😂😂
