Mamas with little boys? How in the hell did you get them potty trained? If it was easy for you then…

I need to know too. My son literally refuses to go on the potty and will hold it.

Well at the time my sons ex was HELL to potty train. Like hit, spit, scratch. The reward system didnt work, the bring them with you and sit them when you go didn't work. We finally said screw it bought underwear, put them on him with a pull up ontop and it took 2 days of feeling wet/dirty (obviously didn't leave him with wet/dirty underwear for more then 5mins) he started going more regularly so we took the pull up away and it took about 2-3 weeks and he was accident free morning and night time took another 3 weeks. But it took us forever to find what worked with him.

One day we just stopped using pull ups alltogether (at home, at daycare, outside as well). First week he peed when he wanted without any warning and always asked to put on pullups on him. From second week he gave up and sat on a potty (mostly because that was the only place where he was allowed to watch cartoons). From this week he actually started saying he wants to go to the toilet. I tried to potty train him from 1 yo. But worked out only this month.

We had to use an outside source to help us. He was 4. It was definitely time. Our daycare teachers did it. And within a week he was potty trained at

Home and daycare. I truly believe in waiting until they're ready though.

It was hard for me and my boys esp with pooping on the potty. I started training my first around 3 and he would pee on the potty no problem. Well a few accidents here and there but he didn’t poop on the potty until he was almost 5!! My 2nd son we waited until he was like 3&1/2 because he wasn’t ready. He also wouldn’t poop on the potty they both used pull-ups. But one day he decided he was going to poop in the potty. And they haven’t turned back. My suggestion is to make sure your son is ready. Set a timer for every 15-20mins for the first few days and make him sit on the potty. Even if he doesn’t go make him sit there for a min or two. U can use treats when he does go or what I did was a sticker chart. Every time they went the got a sticker and 10 stickers they got a special treat. Good luck

We had our son follow my husband to the bathroom starting at almost 1.5 years old. He learned first to pee standing up by watching his daddy all the time. We also put the little potty out in the living room so he would always see it and be able to get right to it. We had him almost nude daily. To this day he still likes to wear no pants when home lol. I'd try that stuff, wishing you luck.

@tjames2018, yes good luck!! Boys are a little tough. I mean I’ve never trained a girl so I can’t compare but my boys weren’t that hard to train but it’s just hard no matter the gender.
