I’ll never understand.....

YESSSSS I’ve seen a news report and they said to take a shoe off and put it in the back seat so you have to remember it. Like umm I guess you’re kid isn’t important enough??? Even when I drop him off at school or at his grandparents house it feels super weird for me to not see him in the back. I’ve even opened up the door and been like “oh right... he’s gone” 😂

@renelei, that’s worse in my opinion! Lol Either way. Both are terrible. But I’m not naive to think it couldn’t happen to someone going through some extreme shit. It also doesn’t take long for a baby to die in a car in extreme heat. 🤷🏻‍♀️

@masseymomma16, cosleeping with your child in no way compares to leaving them alone in a car for hours.

@masseymomma16, no you don’t forget the risk of cosleeping. You know them you just ignore them.

@renelei, I’m sure those it has happened to said the same thing. Just like every parent who cosleeps. Sure they said theyd never smother their child to death. It happens.

@masseymomma16, I could understand for a minute or two IF someone is extremely stressed out or having a bad mental day or something but for hours??? If I just happened to forget my kid in the car(never would happen) as soon as I saw another kid as I was walking into the store or somewhere else I would remember.

I look for my kids even when they are not with me and feel weird not having them around.

My husband even though he’s use to not having them in the car stills forgets and checks back there for them.

I hate the saying “leave something important in the backseat” like your child isn’t the important thing back there 🙄

You never know what someone is going though.

I catch myself looking in my backseat while driving just to check if my daughter is okay, but i am actually alone 🤣

Ive also parked and opened my trunk to get the stroller and when i look back she isnt there 😅

Maybe its because im a first time mom or im just paranoid but i seriously dont know how people forget their kids
