28 weeks pregnant and broke my wrist. They prescribed Vicodin but it isn’t doing anything. Anyone have an injury while pregnant like this and been prescribed pain meds that are safe and work?

@kambam, they just reset it for a second time and casted it, it’s excruciating pain. Thank you for info. I put a call into my dr to see what he says. I’ve done ice doesn’t do anything.
My SIL broke her ankle around 20w also. I think she was on some hardcore stuff and couldn't walk until a few weeks before birth. Her baby is fine of course. Vicodin doesn't work for everyone! You can get ibuprofen 800s and those seem to do well long as you keep taking them every 8hrs or so. You can also use ice topically and arnica.

I had a stillborn daughter at 38 weeks this passed Nov. This is my second month ttc. (Last month we only tried for like two weeks though). My last and only pregnancy, I got pregnant the first month of ttc so I hope it's quick this time again.

Oh, in that case you can try arnica pills if you want. I'm sure it's painful! Hope you can find something that works for you.
