My best friend’s wedding is this weekend and I haven’t been feeling up to going especially because it’s almost 2 hours away from me. I am currently 36 weeks and 4 days and I’ve been feeling not my usual self lately follow with a lot of pressure and feeling so heavy down there. I do not want to be far away from home nor the hospital but at the same time I feel like a bad friend for not attending. My husband and I do not want to take a chance and travel so far. What would you mommies do if you were in my shoes?
I wouldn’t go. But I would tell her now and tell her yourself, preferably over the phone (not text) if she doesn’t live nearby. Do not tell her the day of! Oh and send her a nice gift—- she probably paid a lot of money for your two seats and it’s just a nice gesture. My wedding we paid $50/person and the count was final weeks before. This is actually inexpensive from other weddings; I hear of some that pay $100+ a head!
I wouldn’t go. If she’s a true friend she would understand.

Transgender children
So I just learned that in my kids school district (my kids aren't in school yet my oldest will be starting kindergarten next September) there are twin boys who identify as girls. They are 5 years old. What's your opinions on this matter given they are 5!!! I don't believe that at that age they really understand the whole thing. So the entire school had to take a course on how to handle transgender children. For example they can't say girls go this or boys do that. What are...
@amysbabies, thank you. I will definitely be giving her gift even though I won’t show up.
