Damn straight!! I did not just carry a baby in me for 9 months for him to just sit on his ass. It’s a 2 person job. Obviously single moms can kick ass and do it on their own but if you have a significant other then they should be able to help out.

@emily526, my husband is a GREAT dad, just very very very lazy and incapable of doing anything for himself 😑 I’m sick of wiping his ass for him, I have a baby. I didn’t need a baby and a man baby too.

@doctor.p Totally agree. I understand that it's not that way for some and we all have different situations going on. But I know moms on here with husbands who work super hard (like yourself) and still manage to help out. When I see a post of a women saying her husband came home and plopped down infront of the TV and she has to take her baby into the bathroom with her just so she can shower because her husband won't watch the baby I get infuriated. Either be a parent (mother or father) or leave and let the capable parent do it.

I agree. A woman didn’t make the baby by herself so why should she be the only one taking care of the kids.

My husband is a truck driver and isn’t home 5 days out the week. So when he’s home once he steps into that door I’m off baby duty. I take care of our kid all week long by myself so it’s his turn to do it. I don’t change a single diaper, I don’t feed the baby, I don’t bath the baby. None of that that’s his duties as a father. And he does an amazing job with no complaints

@mlmspm Nothing about my post is judging anyone first of all. We're all in different situations obviously so if this doesn't apply to your situation, which it obviously doesn't, than it doesn't apply. As I've stated above my husband didn't always help and he still doesn't always help. There's good days and there's bad days, I have them too. This is referring to women not just on here, but FB and friends I know in real life who complain constantly their husbands don't do a thing for them. If your husband has recently changed than he obviously isn't lazy or unwilling to help, he's going through something. That's different than a man who won't change his child's diaper or hold a bottle to feed his baby.

@theycallmemommy Exactly! Even just a little bit of help is something anyone is capable of. I'm exhausted from working and being super pregnant but I still find a way to help my husband out in the small ways I can.

@kellywidener820 I was like this is the beginning! My husband wasn't around then, but I was with my parents and they tried to help because I was exhausted the 1st few weeks, but I barely let them do anything.

@gabby.pineda, he doesn’t talk like a baby at all. But he throws temper tantrums a lot. I started doing it back to him so he can see how ridiculous it is 😂 it’s usually his way or no way.

That’s wonderful for you that you have a great husband that helps out. Maybe you shouldn’t be soo quick to judge others though. Some of us have husbands that used to help out and have changed lately and it’s very very difficult to break out of that relationship when you have kids to think about, especially when you don’t believe in divorce. Might want to try having some compassion for those in difficult situations instead of judging ppl you don’t even know.

I totally agree with you!!! My husband works all day and sometimes doesn’t get til late but he helps whenever he is home. If I just need a break, he keeps the boys busy so I can have some me time. I couldn’t deal with a husband who doesn’t help.

@oktoberwitch the way you describe your husband is how my brother in law is. His girlfriend struggles a lot with him because he can't even talk properly, he talks babyish. My mother in law feels so bad because its all her fault he's like that. Growing up teachers would yell at my mother in law for babying him too much, but being a stubborn lady she told them its her son and she can baby him all she wants. He can't even make a decision. It's like he a child in a grown man's body. My husband tries to help him think more like an adult, but idk he just difficult.

I agree. There’s a different reason my husband doesn’t do much and it’s bc I won’t let him lol. I don’t mean to be like this but I know when I do it it’s done right and I am having a hard time letting him or anyone do anything for the baby. I gotta start letting him help more 🤦🏻‍♀️

@oktoberwitch I still baby my husband to a certain extent, but it doesnt bother me at all because it has ended the majority of our arguments. So everyday I leave him a list of things I want done and 9 out of 10 times he completes the list. I shouldn't HAVE to do that because he's a grown ass man, but he needs to be told what to do that's just him. If I don't leave that list nothing will get done believe me because I've forgotten before lol.

@melissaredfield87 Exactly! Parenting should always be 50/50 unless there's some outside circumstances like an extremely demanding job, odd work hours, etc.

I also agree with this post! My SO works 80 hours a week and it don’t matter to me who works more at the end of the day I feel I do even though he will never admit that lol. I still come home and run kids to Sports,dinner, clean house, etc. I also work 60 hours per week and I’m 8 months pregnant. I don’t expect my SO to come home and do anything but On his day off he better be spending time with our children and fixing anything that needs to be done around the house. It’s a 50/50 relationship over here😂and I refuse to be with a man who is lazy or needs to be told what to do.

@aengs2 That's a completely different situation. I work 10 hours a day and I'm 38 weeks pregnant, my husband doesn't ask or expect me to do anything more either. I'm referring to the women complaining their up feeding their baby every 3 hours and their husband who doesn't do anything out of the ordinary is snoring through the night like a king. Or a man who refuses to change his child's diaper. Or sees the mother of his child is physically exhausted but chooses to come home and turn on the TV instead of help out.

My husband works 70 hours per week at a physical job while I stay home. He travels for work a lot too. I don't expect him to come home and take over with the kiddos and household. But the difference for me is I don't complain about it I guess because it's what we agreed upon. He does help a lot on his days off even though I don't expect him to.

@oktoberwitch My husband was the same way. He didnt get home until our daughter was almost 2 months and he missed my whole pregnancy, so he kind of was just thrown into dad life. At 1st it was tough, but he eventually got the hang of everything and now he's a SAHD and honestly does way more work than I do. He could definitely do more on some days, but I've just seen so many women say their man doesn't even feed their baby. How could you be with a man that won't even hold a bottle for a few minutes (breastfeeding aside obv). Or their man won't change a diaper. It's different if your SO works weird hours or works excessively, but if he's doing a normal day job he definitely should be stepping up.

For me, it was my inlaws fault. They babied him so much, he has no idea how to do anything. When we were boyfriend and girlfriend, with no babies and no pets, I didn’t notice it because I didn’t have stress in my life to ask for help. Suddenly, when I needed the help, it wasn’t there. His mom fully takes the blame, and it’s one of the reasons we are having serious issues right now.

@wendy.n Exactly! Single moms are of course not included in this, they do it all and then some on their own. But women who have SO's and say oh well he doesnt help feed the baby or he doesn't get up during the night... You got me messed up.
