@shaninex97, it’s not you who’s worrying for nothing. It’s the consultants that are making you worry. They exaggerate big time, in my opinion. Yeah, your baby is healthy xx

Best of it is some don't have children and they think they know it all cause they went medical school ha and then on the other hand u have got my dad when he's I'll one doctor sayin one thing and anouther sayin something else and they bloody don't always know what there doing xx

Baby being just under the 50th centile is not a problem at all!! There were no scans before and when a woman gave birth to a baby that was term and 6lbs it was fine. I really don’t understand these doctors to be honest. I’m interested to know whether they have children and how their pregnancies were. Just under the 50th centile is good. My baby was always in the middle between 10th and 50th

And it's tipical just tryed to ring um about it an the surgery is shut which is unusual for it being a Thursday xx

Ye I havnt got my scan till the 10th of September was ment see the midwife at 28 weeks but I'm 30 weeks next week but she hasn't even rang me bk to book a appointment because she had to check her calender and ring me bk but hasn't yet bothered lol xx

They have to take procutions because it's there job and they moan because it's what doctors do xxx

Like liya said and me u just have to stay positive it is scary having your first and Ur bound to be worried because of what they have said but it's best not to the time to worry is when you can't feel you baby moving at all xxx

@kkkkkkxoxoxox so there's no need for me to worry. They supposed to be the experts and mentioning stillbirth is just plain horrible to a first time mum. Shall I just trust what my body is going and forgot about the hospitals?.. xxx

If there something they can moan for they will Hun but it's cuz it's there job to put the babys interest at heart first there more bothered about the baby that's inside u that's why xxx

@liya.bowie it's horrible when they scare you with being stillborn. I mean why would they do that. And yeah she said the doppler is fine. Just her grows as she's under the 50th line xx

I smoke and my first baby was 8pound 12 Oz I've smoked with all of mine xxx

@kkkkkkxoxoxox well they saying that because I smoke. And they trying to make me feel guilty. But my partner and must was small as a baby. I am trying to quit but that's not the point. They always find something to moan about. It's only because the first growth scan she was on the 50th line and the second she was just under 50th and today she was literally a second under the 50th line. So they going to blame it on my smoking I guess. But she's moving fine xxx

@shaninex97, you are not the only mom who is facing this. I’ve spoken to at least 4 moms who have had similar experience as mine. As long as your doppler is fine, that’s the most important because it shows if your baby is getting enough nutrients. The measurements from a scan can’t be accurate. They say they measure HC, AC and FL but I never believed a baby’s weight can be measured from it xx don’t worry. As long as your baby is moving around. They scared me with “stillbirth” many times too. My mom just told me not to go to the hospital for checkups anymore and just wait for the labour to start whenever my baby decides to come out 😄

Well when I was born I was 5pound 2 and they blamed my mum's smoking but guess what my mum didn't smoke I've two little girls and the have both been 5pound and so many Oz and there both fine somtimes what doctors say can worry you but end of the day it's your body if you can feel your baby moving I wudnt worry to much it's when you can't feel the baby moving at all thats the time to worry doctors just say things so your aware that's all Hun xxx

I agree with the comments above. They kept telling me my baby was small and were offering induction each time I saw the doctors which was every other day. I refused induction. My baby came out when he decided to at 39+3 weighing 3108 grams (6lbs 14). They told me he would be maximum 2800 grams

I have never known anyones scan to be 100% correct for the baby's weight. The scan can be under or over by a lb. My first was estimated at 8lbs at birth.. she was 9lb 1oz and in the 84th centile! This one is measuring just over 50th centile.. but I am expecting her to be just as big lol. Also 4lb 11oz seems to be ok for how many weeks x

Also when they scan you it's basically an estimated guess of the weight there not always a 100 percent xx

I can't give u much advice about it but I can say they said my baby's were small and they came out fine all you have to do is stay positive and you will be in the best place you can be Hun they have alot of things theses days they can do to help but you stressing won't help so try not to think the worst and good luck hunnie xx
