Hey! I’m scared shitless to get induced! Did you get induced? How much were you dilated? Effaced? Drop your story here!!
@followthegreenlady yeah, it was a lesson about expectations, for sure. I was Si devastated to have to have the type of birth I feared and loathed...and then we had to change rooms bc of the AC and my new room had a birth pool in the corner, just sitting there rubbing it in. I cried so much. So, the induction could've gone better with the right attitude. Sounds like you got it!
@kjcross, ok awesome! Yeah I just planned on getting an epidural and doing a hospital birth. I can see why you had such anxiety, that’s a really big change in plans. I also suffer from extreme anxiety and have OCD thought patterns so I felt it best to just be around technology. In a perfect world I would have loved a water birth in my home with loved ones.
@followthegreenlady just glanced at your profile. I'm 33 and a FTM also, if that helps!
I was due today originally
@followthegreenlady I was 38+6. Even a week early, little girl weighed almost 8 lbs.
Being induced was the 2nd to last thing I wanted for my birth. I had a natural water birth using birth hypnosis planned. So, if you were already planning on having meds and giving birth in a bed, it's going to be so much easier for you to accept and yes, endure easily!
@kjcross, thanks so much for sharing! Can I ask how many weeks you were at? It’s nice to know that no matter what we’ll all endure ♥️
I was induced last Monday. I had developed PE. I was only 1 cm dilated at the time. They did 4 doses if Cytotec to soften my cervix. The contractions weren't too bad with it but they were regular. It softened by only dilated a little more so we did more Cytotec and a cook's catheter (the balloon they insert in your cervix and blow up with saline to dilate you). That intensified contractions and I had it in for 12 hours. I can't lie, that thing hurt. It caused a ton of pressure down low so I couldn't even sit and standing up was a bitch. It worked though and I was 5cm when they took it out and started the Pitocin. They started that very slowly and never really pushed it too much so it wasn't the way too crazy contractions people talk about....although towards the end I lost my stamina to endure them and got the epidural. I pushed for an hour. Epidural wore off and I felt everything...but who cares...it's agony with an end and I didn't die. The whole thing took 44 hours. I have bad anxiety and I think that contributed to slowling things down at stages. Try to stay relaxed, mentally and physically. It's not that bad, it gets better, it has an end, the end is pure joy. Don't be afraid! You can do it!
@haleynicole, yay! I’m 3cm dilated too! Hoping it goes smooth! Thanks for sharing!!!
I was induced at 37wks and it wasn’t bad(: it was actually a lot smoother than when I went into labor naturally. I was 3cm dilated at the time. But that’s just my experience (:
Ladies getting induced on August 15 have any of you got induced how is it what am I looking forward to so nervous 😬
everyone is talking about getting induced.... when does that happens? you get that when you are a high risk or not?
I don't get why everybody be so " pressed " to be induced .. Being induced should only happen if there is something wrong with the baby not because your getting tired of carrying the child .. The baby will come when their ready .. Let them cook , when your induced they drug the baby .. Read up on inducing before you make a decision like that .. No shade to anyone either I'm just sharing a little knowledge especially to some of you young new mommies .!
How many of you mommas got Induced??? I’m supposed to get induced today and honestly I’m afraid

What do you get?
@kjcross, we’ll know soon enough ♥️♥️
