@ariannaamaciass, yes that's exactly why i cosleep, i breastfeed so in the middle of the night i put him on the boob and go to sleep. i'm a light sleeper.
@ariannaamaciass well i never did it with my older 2 first baby was breastfed 2nd wasn't..but this time around it found it more convienaint his room is right next to his big bro and sister and my 5 yr old doesn't make bedtime easy. He is breastfed as well which is easier to I'm slowly working him into his own crib thou
I co slept from complete exhaustion to be honest. I was divorcing at the time and returned back to school and work way sooner than I anticipated. Dd was colic and had an undiagnosed dairy allergy so right next to me attached to my nipple was the only way I was able to get any sort of sleep. Unfortunately she slept like that for 2 years and weaning her was 10 times harder than it really should have been. I do not plan to co sleep after 3 months with any future children.
@thepaige16, same, i also want that closeness and my son seems to wake up at night if i move him away from me.
i think when his feeding times at night spread further apart i can try putting him in the bassinet next to my bed
I co slept because my baby wouldn’t sleep alone and I just wanted that closeness. I did breastfeed and co sleeping made it a lot easier. I would just lay there and sleep while she was eating. She could pull herself off and turn her head. I slept with her from day one. She now sleeps in her crib beside of me and my little boy sleeps with me sometimes but not often because I don’t want him to not be able to sleep by himself. My daughter now can’t sleep unless I put her to sleep. @ariannaamaciass,
@ironbutterfly, @thepaige16, @girlmom., did you guys breastfeed and that’s what lead you to co sleep? because i breastfeed and my son wakes up every 2 hrs at night to eat so i keep him in bed with me, sometimes he’ll fall asleep on his side attached to the boob. other times i’ll lay him on his back. how would you co sleep?
