Does anyone have gestational diabetes and takes insulin shots?

@fishinamanda oh man. This is just alot of adjusting I don't want the baby to have diabetes or any health problems so I'm trying to control it the best I can but its hard. Its alot of change.

@fishinamanda yeah I try to take mine with a snack but because of my work schedule I eat dinner late a lot of times. So I've been taking it with dinner becaus I dont have time for a snack before bed but the nurse said when I take it with my snack the snack shouldn't have over 15 g of carbs so I'm afraid I really shouldn't be taking it with my meal cause of the carbs. I'm going to have to call up there and ask .

I take mine with meals. Try taking you night time one with a small snack

@fishinamanda do you take them with meals or with a small snack ? I'm really struggling with it I take it once at bed time and my sugars tend to drop very low at night.

I had diabetes before I got pregnant but then once I got pregnant they put me on insulin shots. I take two - three shots a day

They put me on insulin at bed time. They said to take it with a protein snack at bed time. But sometimes because of my work I eat a late dinner so I don't know if it's ok to take it right after dinner. Or If I should wait like an hour and try to take it with a snack.

Yes I did when I was pregnant once i started the insulin my number were under control
